Guest Rooms
Nestled between shady trees and Lake Washington, St. Mary-on-the-Lake sets the perfect scene for relaxation and finding inner peace. To support your retreat experience, we offer simple rooms with a minimalist, calming design. Here, your mind is free from distractions, allowing you to immerse yourself in the beauty and tranquility of your surroundings.
Each guestroom includes a convenient handwashing station. Our main residence building provides two spacious shared bathrooms—one with a bathtub—that are accessible to all guests. Additionally, half of our guestrooms feature a private bathroom with a standing shower, grab bars, and a walk-in closet.
While every guestroom has a unique layout, standard features include a twin bed, a rocking chair or armchair, a nightstand, a desk, a closet, and a phone. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available in each room, and most guestrooms also offer a small flat-screen television with basic cable. Depending on your room, you may enjoy views of the lake or our peaceful interior courtyard.
Bed linens and towels are provided, but we ask guests to bring their own toiletries, such as soap, toothpaste, and personal items like bathrobes, slippers, shower shoes, and hairdryers. Given the local weather, we recommend packing an umbrella or sunblock as needed during your stay.
Guests staying in the Cusack building have access to the Cusack Tea Room, where you can make use of a microwave, refrigerator, and tea and coffee maker for added comfort.
Important Accessibility Notes
As a private residence, St. Mary-on-the-Lake grounds, facilities, and overnight guestrooms do not meet the ADA accessible design standards. Overnight guests will need to navigate one flight of stairs between the guest rooms and the dining room. Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns.
Although external building doors do lock at night and all guest rooms may be locked from the inside, please note that guestroom doors do not have key locks that may allow guests to leave and lock their room behind them. While our campus is safe, you may want to consider leaving valuables at home.
