The Disarming Our Hearts Circle

The Disarming Our Hearts Circle was created from a simple conviction: peace is not something that happens by accident. Like compassion, forgiveness, courage, and hope, it is something we learn, practice, and nurture over time.

Inspired by the Peace & Spirituality Center's Disarming Our Hearts: Becoming Peace series, the Circle was created as a way to support people who desire a more intentional and ongoing practice of peace in their daily lives. While many of us long for a more peaceful world, we often struggle to know where to begin. The Circle offers a gentle reminder that peace-making begins within our own hearts and extends outward into our relationships, communities, and world.

Rather than focusing on news headlines, political debates, or abstract ideals, the Circle invites participants to engage peace as a way of life. Through monthly reflections, prayers, stories, practices, and simple invitations, members are encouraged to slow down, listen deeply, cultivate awareness, and discover meaningful ways to embody peace in everyday circumstances.

At its heart, the Circle is rooted in the belief that transformation happens through small, consistent acts of attention and intention. It is designed not as another newsletter to read and set aside, but as a companion for the journey—a monthly invitation to reflect, pray, practice, and grow alongside others who share a desire to become agents of peace in the world.

Whether you are seeking spiritual encouragement, a deeper rhythm of reflection, a supportive community, or simply a reminder that peace remains possible, we invite you to join us. Together, we can continue the lifelong work of disarming our hearts and becoming peace.
