St. Mary-on-the-Lake Chapel

If you would like to visit the chapel during a personal retreat, overnight stay, or group gathering, please let a member of our team know when submitting your request. We are always happy to explore available options and help make your time at St. Mary-on-the-Lake as meaningful as possible.

Nestled within the Sisters' residence at St. Mary-on-the-Lake, the chapel is a peaceful and welcoming space for prayer, worship, and quiet reflection. Surrounded by trees and filled with natural light, the chapel's large windows offer beautiful views of Lake Washington and the surrounding grounds, creating an atmosphere of tranquility throughout the day.

While the chapel is part of the Sisters' private residence and not part of the Peace & Spirituality Center itself, it remains an important part of the spiritual life of the campus. Individuals, retreatants, and overnight guests are warmly welcomed to spend time in silent prayer, personal reflection, or communal worship when the chapel is available.

The Sisters gather daily for Mass or a Word and Communion Service at 11:30 a.m., and guests are welcome to join them. Please note that there is no priest in residence, and the schedule of liturgies may occasionally vary.

Groups utilizing the Peace & Spirituality Center may request use of the chapel for up to one hour for Mass, Eucharistic Adoration, Benediction, or other prayer services. Because the chapel serves both the Sisters' community and retreat guests, availability is limited and cannot be guaranteed. We encourage groups to indicate their interest in using the chapel as part of their retreat inquiry.
