Pages & Peace
The Peace & Spirituality Center's Silent Book Club
Sometimes the best conversations begin with an hour of silence.
Pages & Peace is the Peace & Spirituality Center's official chapter of the international Silent Book Club, a global community of readers with nearly 2,000 chapters in more than 60 countries.
Unlike a traditional book club, there is no assigned reading, no discussion questions, and no preparation. Simply bring whatever you're currently reading—a novel, biography, poetry, spiritual book, graphic novel, magazine, audiobook, or e-reader—and enjoy a quiet hour of reading alongside others.
Conversation is optional before and after the reading time, but the heart of the evening is shared silence.
In a culture that often asks us to hurry, produce, and stay constantly connected, Pages & Peace offers something different: an opportunity to slow down, unplug, and simply be present.
Hosted at the Peace & Spirituality Center, each gathering invites readers to enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the Center, whether outdoors during the warmer months or in one of our cozy indoor spaces as the seasons change. It is not about finishing a book or analyzing what you've read. It is simply about making space for reading, reflection, and quiet companionship.
Whether you read every week or haven't picked up a book in months, you are welcome here.
