Individual Overnight Retreats
Individuals are invited to experience the serene setting of St. Mary-on-the-Lake through a peaceful overnight retreat. Whether you stay for one night or several, this self-guided retreat offers time to step away from the demands of daily life and enter a quieter rhythm of prayer, reflection, solitude, and renewal. It is an opportunity to reconnect with yourself, deepen your relationship with God, and return to everyday life with renewed peace and purpose.
Overnight retreatants are welcomed as guests of the Sisters of St. Joseph of Peace, who reside at St. Mary-on-the-Lake. Guests stay in simple, peaceful accommodations designed to support rest and reflection. Most guestrooms are intended for single occupancy, with one room available for couples. Overnight accommodations for men are limited and subject to availability. Guestrooms include a combination of private and shared bathrooms, and meals are graciously prepared and served by the Sisters. Retreatants are also welcome to enjoy the Peace Labyrinth, chapel, lakeside grounds, wooded trails, and other peaceful spaces throughout the property.
While lodging is provided within the Sisters' residence, meeting and gathering spaces are located in the Peace & Spirituality Center. Guests planning presentations, workshops, prayer services, or other structured retreat activities should reserve meeting space separately through the Center.

These experiences are optional and can be incorporated into your overnight stay as your schedule and availability allow. Please see the resources below to learn more and submit a request.
